Workflow AI wasn't started in a tech office. It was started in a work truck, by someone watching good companies lose jobs to voicemail every single day.

The story

Why this company exists.

Kadence is an HVAC apprentice in the Lower Mainland. Weekdays he's on the tools: rooftop units, furnace diagnostics, crawlspaces. The kind of work where your hands are full, your phone is in the truck, and it's ringing.

That experience is the whole reason this company exists. Working in the trades, he watched companies lose business constantly. Not to bad work or bad prices, but to unanswered phones. A customer calls at 2 pm while every tech is mid job, nobody picks up, and by the time anyone calls back the customer has hired whoever did. Good companies bleeding real money, week after week, on a ringtone.

The existing fixes weren't built for businesses like that. Big answering services run from offshore call centres. Software platforms that expect a furnace tech to become a system administrator. Agencies selling the same package to anyone, anywhere, with a help desk instead of a person.

So he built one himself, for the business he worked for: a phone answering system trained on the actual company, managed personally, made by someone who knows what a no-heat call in January means because he's been on the other end of one. Workflow AI builds that same system for local BC businesses.
